Sell used Cisco hardware to help the environment

Cisco are the world’s leading manufacturer of networking hardware, and their products are not only high performing but are also highly durable. A well looked after piece of equipment will last for years. However a lot of people think that once THEY are finished with a bit of hardware that it should be consigned to the scrap heap, never to be used again. Not only does this mean that good money is being literally thrown away but it also has environmental implications. In an industry worth £30billion each year, if every company threw away a piece of hardware in that year it would be a massive environmental issue.

These bits of kit are not biodegradable, it is very difficult to recycle these items so they will just end up at the landfill with all of the other waste.

The other option is to sell used Cisco hardware to a reselling company. These refurbish and then sell on the used hardware at a discounted price. This is better for you as you recoup a little bit of cash on your original investment, and you are helping the environment immensely.

In a time when global warming is a hot topic, it definitely pays to take this approach. If all the companies that would have thrown onto the scrapheap instead sold the hardware on, then it would be a huge win for the environment. All of this perfectly working hardware would still be on the market.
