Kindle is usually the term associated whenever I hear the work eBook Reader. Kindle is no doubt the benchmark with the other ebook readers in their wake. Barnes and Noble’s Nook reader and Sony’s PRS600 are not too far in Kindle’s distance. These three units are so far the most popular. But why do some people choose one over the other?

One of the factors that people are looking for is the size of purse storage or the vehicle glove box. The largest in these 3 examples not by much thought is Kindle 2. What is more important for traveler is the life of the battery. In fact, it is the second factor that people are looking for. When you are sure that you will not have an access to power source in your destination, then the key for you is the battery life. Kindle and Sony last up to 2 weeks before they will show a need for recharge. Internet is another option that is available on some ebook readers like Nook and Kindle. It is actually the third factor. This is possible via wi-fi or via 3G network. The Sony ebook reader does not have this factor. The fourth factor is the screen size. The screen is crucial to look at. The new paper display technology is an amazing invention which makes reading possible even in daylight. Sony uses a touch screen technology and its crispness is not as good as the other two. Other factors that people consider are audio, book shopping and downloading. There are ebook reader accessories available in the market today such as Kindle Accessories, Nook Accessoires, Sony Accessories, iRex Accessories and other accessories which enhance the functionality of ebook readers.
